About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and the developer of Skulpo ("we", "us") about your use of the Skulpo app. By installing or using Skulpo, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

How we handle your data is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which you can open from Settings → ABOUT.

Who can use skulpo

Skulpo is built for healthy adults who train with weights. You must be at least 16 years old to use Skulpo. If you are under 18, use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian, and only if they accept these terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for keeping your account details, if you create an account, to yourself.

Your licence to use skulpo

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Skulpo on devices you own or control, for your own training. The app and everything in it — the recovery model, the exercise library, the text and the design — stay ours.

Please do not copy, resell or rent the app, do not attempt to extract its source code, and do not use it to build a competing product. Your own training data is yours, and you can export it at any time from Settings → DATA.

Not medical or training advice

Skulpo is a training log and a recovery model. It is not a doctor, not a physiotherapist and not a coach. What it shows you is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan and not a personalised training prescription, and it must not be used as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

The recovery states, fatigue estimates and any suggestions Skulpo displays are calculated from numbers you type in, using general models drawn from published research. They are estimates about a typical body, not measurements of yours. They cannot see your injuries, illnesses, medication, sleep, stress or technique.

Talk to a doctor before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant, are recovering from injury, or have been away from training for a while. If something hurts, stop and get medical help — do not train through pain because the app shows a muscle as recovered.

Training safety is your responsibility

You decide what you lift, how you lift it and when. Weight training carries a real risk of injury, and that risk stays with you.

You are responsible for warming up, for using safe technique and appropriate loads, for the condition of your equipment, for using collars, safety pins or a spotter where they are needed, and for stopping when something feels wrong. Skulpo showing a muscle as ready is never an instruction to train it, and never a statement that a particular weight is safe for you.

The numbers you enter drive everything the app calculates. If they are wrong, what it shows you will be wrong too.

Your data and backups

Your training history is stored on your device, not on our servers, and creating an account does not sync or back it up. That means keeping a copy is up to you: use Settings → DATA to export a backup before you change phones, reset the device, or uninstall the app.

We cannot recover training data that is lost from your device, because we never had a copy of it.

Premium purchases

Some features are marked premium. Where premium is available, it is sold through Google Play or the App Store, under the account you use there — we never see or handle your payment details.

Premium may be offered as a subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it, or as a one-off purchase. The price, the billing period and the renewal date are shown to you in the store before you confirm, and again in your store account afterwards. To cancel a subscription, use your Google Play or App Store account settings; cancelling stops future renewals and leaves your access running until the end of the period you already paid for.

Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its own refund policy and your statutory rights as a consumer — not by us. If you are an EU, EEA or UK consumer, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a digital purchase, which you may lose once you agree that the content is made available to you immediately.

Ending your use or your account

You can stop using Skulpo at any time by uninstalling it, which erases everything the app stored on your device (your device's own system backup may keep a copy — see our Privacy Policy).

If you created an account, the app cannot yet delete it by itself. Write to [email protected] from the address you registered with and we will delete the account and the email address held with it, normally within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through a store — cancel that in your store account.

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by trying to attack, copy or resell the app. If we do, and you have paid for a period you have not used, you can ask the store for a refund of that part.

Changes to the app and these terms

Skulpo is under active development. Some of the features shown in the app are still being built, and we may add, change or remove features as it grows. We may also update the app automatically so you have the latest version.

We may change these terms — for example when the app gains a feature these terms do not cover yet. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use Skulpo after a change means you accept the new version. If a change is significant and you do not accept it, stop using the app and, if you wish, ask us to delete your account.

Liability

Skulpo is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that its estimates will suit you personally.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected. Subject to that, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage that arises because you relied on the app instead of your own judgement or professional advice, for training data lost from your device, or for loss that was not a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

Contact

Skulpo is built and published by Marcin Bystrzanowski, an independent developer, ul. Chopina 20/8, 71-450 Szczecin, Poland.
